privacy policy

who this covers

this policy covers the SimpleHRT app for iOS, made by Bang Average Software. it applies to everything the app does. there are no surprises further down - this page exists so you can check that for yourself.

what the app stores, and where

simplehrt is a medication tracker, so it holds information you put into it:

• your medication schedules (what you take, how much, and when)
• your dose history (which doses you've marked as taken)
• optional period tracking - flow and any notes you add
• your name, if you choose to give one, so the app can say good morning politely

all of it is stored only on your device. the app never uploads it, syncs it, backs it up to a server, or transmits it anywhere - not to me, not to anyone. there is no server to send it to. the single exception is an export you ask for yourself, which is covered below.

this is health-related information, and it deserves saying plainly: i, the developer, cannot see it. no one can, unless they are holding your unlocked phone.

what the app does not do

• no accounts - there is nothing to sign up for and no login
• no analytics - the app doesn't measure how you use it
• no tracking - no advertising identifiers, no profiles, nothing
• no third-party SDKs - no outside code libraries that phone home
• no data collection of any kind by the developer - i receive precisely nothing from your copy of the app

reminders

dose reminders are local notifications, generated and scheduled entirely on your device by iOS. no reminder ever passes through a server. if you decline notification permission, the app simply won't remind you - everything else works as normal.

exporting your data

the app can write your dose history, and your period log if you use it, to csv files - Settings → export your data. worth being precise about how this works, because it's the one moment your information can leave the phone:

• the files are generated on your device. nothing is sent to me or to any server at any point, and the app makes no network requests to build them
• once a file exists, the app hands it to the standard iOS share sheet and steps out of the way. what happens next is entirely your decision: save it to Files, mail it to yourself, open it in a spreadsheet, take it to an appointment
• if you choose to send it somewhere - your email provider, a cloud drive, a messaging app - that destination's own privacy terms apply to the copy you sent, and i have no involvement in or sight of it
• the app keeps no record of what you exported or where it went

put simply: the export exists so your data is yours to take, not so it can travel without you asking.

face id and passcode lock

you can optionally lock the app behind Face ID or your device passcode. this uses Apple's built-in authentication on the device. the app only learns "unlocked: yes or no" - it never sees or stores your face data or passcode, which stay inside iOS.

tips

the app has an optional tip jar. tips are one-off purchases processed entirely by Apple's In-App Purchase system. i never see your payment details - Apple handles the whole transaction and simply tells the app a tip was made, so it can say thank you. Apple's own privacy policy covers that payment; nothing about it touches your health data.

deleting your data

delete the app and everything it stored is deleted with it. that's it - there's no account to close, no request form, no thirty-day retention window, because there was never a copy anywhere else.

two things worth knowing. if you use iCloud or iTunes device backups, your phone's backup may include the app's data as part of backing up your whole device. that backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple's terms - the app itself never puts data anywhere.

and if you exported csv files before deleting, those copies are wherever you put them. deleting the app doesn't reach them, because they were never the app's to hold - so if you want them gone too, delete them yourself.

changes to this policy

if the way the app handles your data ever changes, this policy will be updated before that change reaches you, and the date at the top will change with it.
